Laura Willox

Laura Willox has been practicing in criminal law for over two decades. She established her law firm, Timpano Legal, in 2008 and rose to prominence in 2012 as the instructing solicitor in one of the State’s most highly publicised prosecution cases.

As a Senior Criminal Lawyer and Practice Director her role involves the legal aspects of preparing for trial, assisting counsel, appearing in Court, and preparing submissions for an appeal. But more importantly for Laura it also involves encouraging clients to get support from other services that can provide counselling and therapy.

“One of the most important aspects of my job is talking to people about how they came to be in the position they find themselves in.

People come to my office either wanting to put their hand up for a crime they have committed or needing help defending their innocence. Both situations can be incredibly emotional and traumatic for the individual and their families.

Watching my clients turn their life around is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. It’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.”

Laura has always had a passion for helping people accused of committing crimes and supporting them through the criminal justice system.

The team at Timpano Legal shares this passion and is dedicated to providing expert legal advice to facilitate the very best outcomes for clients.

Laura works closely with some of the most highly regarded barristers and Queen’s Counsel in Australia, and has relationships with nationally and internationally recognised forensic experts.

Laura and her team can help you deal with matters ranging from simple road traffic offences to the most serious and complex charges.
