Sitara was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in December 2020, following completion of a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University.
Following her admission, she worked at a Private Criminal Law Firm where she practiced solely in criminal law.
During her time there she gained extensive experience, conducting summary trials in the Magistrates Court, and acting as Junior Counsel in the District Court. Sitara has experience in a range of hearings including:
· Bail applications; and
· Restraining orders.
Sitara has had the opportunity to deal with a broad range of criminal areas, from small stealing matters to serious drug, property, financial crime, and violent offences.
Sitara completed her Practical Legal Training at Equus Chambers, which exposed her to experience in serious indictable District and Supreme Court trials, and Supreme Court Appeals.
Prior to her Law degree, Sitara completed a Bachelor of Legal Studies and Research, focusing on criminal rehabilitation in Australia.
She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Certificate of Legal Business Skills.
